The function p(x)=x(x-5)(x-2)(x+3) has four zeros. what is the smallest zero?

To find the zeroes, you want to find what x is equal to when y=0. So we would set the function equal to 0 and solve for x

0=x(x-5)(x-2)(x+3)
x=0     x+5     x+2     x=-3

Therefore, the smallest zero is -3
