In order to calculate the slope we would use the following formula:

slope=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

We would plug on the equation the points (1,2) and (-1,-2), so:

Slope=(-2-2)/(-1-1)

slope=-4/-2

slope=2

Therefore, the slope of (1,2) and (-1,2) would be 2
