We have,

Speed = 8 m/s

Time = 17 seconds

Now,

Speed = Distance/Time

★ Substituting the values in the above formula,we get:

⇒ 8 = Distance/17

⇒ Distance = 8 × 17

⇒ Distance = 136 m

Hence,the distance covered by a whale is 136 m .
