[tex]T_{(4,-1)}\text{ simply means 4 is added to x and -1 is added to y}[/tex]

Therefore, the translated point for (2, -7) will be

[tex](2,-7)\rightarrow(6,-8)[/tex]

The translated point will be on quadrant iv
